About Pooja Anita Das
Born in a Bengali Family in Calcutta, I was exposed to music at a very early stage. Like every other kid in Bengal I also started taking vocal lessons but soon I realised her inclination towards composing music. At the tender age of 18 I released her debut album, “Zara Hatke” , where all the songs featured on the album were my original compositions. I am classically trained in hindustani classical music and later on enrolled myself in A.R Rahman's School of music i.e "KM Music Conservatory" to learn western music and music production. I started off as a singer when I initially shifted Mumbai in 2013. I worked as a background singer for few films. Things slowly started picking up when I got her first project to compose music for an ad film in 2015. I composed for renowned ads featuring Amitabh Bachchan got her noticed. This was followed by several other TVCs, Web series, short films etc I was also the in-house music composer for an OTT platform called The Viral Fever for 2 years. Currently I am working as a freelancer, composing for ads, pitching for films and creating song bank.
